SUCKER LIFTING UNIT


This unit allows to lift and in the case to shift a slab only if one surface of which is concerned with the hooking device. No matter in which position the slab is laying, it can be picked-up horizontally or vertically as required. The slab can even be shifted from the vertical position to the horizontal one while hanging from the device. The picking-up is possible thanks to 32 suckers of Ø 210 mm operated by an high power vacuum pump. The unit is supplied with a safety device allowing to keep the slabs picked-up for 20 minutes and more also in case of vacuum pump failure due to power cut-off or other trouble. The shifting movement from the vertical to the horizontal position is obtained by a cylinder operated by an oil pressured cabinet. The unit becomes essential in the marble working field concerning with slab cementing for special workpieces.
